There's a light in the tunnel that I can see

It is the beginning and not the end
It is my nearest and dearest friend
For it is the Lord calling to me
Telling me "be all you can be"
Right now I am weak, but He is strong
He has been by my side all along

Dear angel help me to always recall
What a gift God gave to us all
We think we have it bad, but He truly did
When He saved us through the blood of His kid
What is depression compared to this?
Could it be a form of bliss?
It's silly, I know, to think it so, 
And yet it does serve to aid
My young, my confused, my addled brain

I am sad and scared, it is true
But dear Angel, I will follow you
Help me to stronger faith each day
Dear Angel, always light me way.
