~ A Savior is Born ~
Little baby sleeping tight
In the silence of the night
Bundled up to keep you warm
Through the cold, dark winter storm
Visitors come from far and near
To see the child sleeping here
They follow the star that above You shines
They hear God's words "This child is mine"
"His name is Jesus" Your parents say
As at Your feet gifts they lay
To recognize You as their king
Gold and frankincense they bring
And myrrh, too, we must not forget
Though that time has not come yet
You were born to stand and fall
And then to fly and save us all
You will suffer much, I know,
And all because You love us so
Would You have come to save just me?
Yes, You would, I do believe
Little baby sleeping tight
What dreams are in Your head tonight?
Can You see me, so far away?
Can You hear the prayers I pray?
Did You know that You were born
To save this child, as yet unknown?
You are my Savior, My Father's Son,
My Lord, my king, the Almighty One
I pray to You, I sing Your praise,
I ask for favors, I give You thanks,
I trust in You with all my heart,
From You I wish never to part
Little baby sleeping tight
You are the world's greatest delight
Our fate is in Your tiny hands
Son of God and Son of man
Please remember me tonight
Little baby sleeping tight
Bless me, and keep me, too,
And guide me ever and always to You.
